Sifiso Sibiya is Head of Investments at South Africa’s Government Employees Pension Fund (GEPF), the largest pension fund in Africa, with assets exceeding ZAR 3 trillion and serving over 1.7 million members and beneficiaries.
He holds a Master’s degree in Finance and Investments, an Honours degree in Mathematical Statistics, and a degree in Actuarial Science from the University of the Witwatersrand. Sifiso is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries, a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa, a Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuary, and a CFA and CAIA Charterholder.
With more than 15 years of experience in financial services, Sifiso specialises in investment strategy, financial risk management, and employee benefits. Prior to joining GEPF, he worked at Alexander Forbes as an Investments Actuary, where he led the Actuarial Investments function, and at Deloitte Financial Services Advisory as an Actuarial Manager.
