Tendai Matika is the Head of Africa, Responsible Investment Ecosystems at the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), a UN-supported organisation with more than 5,000 signatories who collectively represent US$139.6 trillion in assets under management. In this role, she leads efforts to advance responsible investment awareness and practices across SubSaharan Africa, working with investors and ecosystem stakeholders.
Prior to joining PRI, Tendai was at the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), where she spent more than ten years supporting African organisations to understand and communicate their impacts on the economy, environment and people. She has also worked for the International Labour Organization (ILO).
Tendai holds a Master’s Degree in Social Policy and Development (with distinction), an Honours Degree in Development Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Public Governance from the University of Johannesburg.
