Iftin Fatah is a Senior Program Officer at the Gates Foundation, a development finance expert by training and a capital markets professional. She leads the financial systems and private capital mobilization body of work at the Gates Foundation. Iftin has worked in the frontline of catalyzing private sector in EMDEs through debt financing, guarantees, equity investments, investment funds, and technical assistance programs. Prior to joining the Gates Foundation, she has extensive experience in mobilizing private capital for development, having spent over 14 years working in development finance.
Iftin graduated from the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy at Tuft’s University with a master’s in international relations, and from George Mason University with a master’s in international commerce & policy and a bachelor’s in finance. She also completed the Harvard Business School-Accion Program on Strategic Leadership in Inclusive Finance.
